Problem Note 43898: The XML Mapper might crash based on a sequence of keystrokes
The XML Mapper might crash with a "null pointer" error, depending on the keystrokes
that are used to navigate the Format window. Steps similar to the following replicates the crash with the SAS® 9.2 version of the XML Mapper.
- After creating Map file, select a column within the table and go to the Format Properties.
- Select a format such as the "F" format and enter a value such as 12 for the Width, and a value such as 2 for the NDEC.
- Without selecting an informat, place the cursor directly in the box for the Width. A dialog box displays containing the null pointer error, and the program closes.
There is currently no circumvention for this problem.
